For the past 35 years, Michael Minardi has
been one of this country's most popular photographers. Minardi specializes
in action photography and is also known for his industrial, corporate
and commercial work. He is especially noted for his Military Photography
and his outstanding football color stills for the NFL. Minardi is
proficient in digital photography as well as large format and 35mm
photography, and he is equally at ease with color and black-and-white,
in the studio or on location. He likes to "go where no photographer
has gone before", whether it's digital or computer enhanced, giant
murals or volunteering for NASA's journalist in space program.
A registered Kodak Mentor, he is listed in
the industry's Creative Black Book of Photographers. He helped found
the East Coast Chapter of the American Society of Magazine Photographers
in Florida.
Since becoming a professional photographer, Minardi's work has appeared
in Life Magazine, U.S.News & World Report, Florida Trend, Venture,
Saturday Evening Post, On Guard, Guardian East, and KFOR Chronical
magazines as well as many national and regional magazines, including
business and sports publications. He has worked for many large corporations
such as Sony, Babcock and Wilcox, Eastern Airlines and the Democratic
and Republican Parties. Minardi was born and raised in Tampa, Florida
and obtained his bachelor's degree from the University of South
Florida and post graduate work in cinematography at Tulane University.
